To reinstall the driver, you just simple go to "devices and printer" under start menu -> double click your printer -> click on "printer" -> "properties" -> "print test page". I had the "one of the installers for this device cannot perform the installation" error. The spooler service would start successfully and then terminate unexpectedly. Thanks!
Manually restarting the service would allow printing for a minute or so until the service would stop again. If still doesnt work, try creating a new user account and try the steps again. the problem just started today (Tuesday, Sept.21).
