Update to the latest version. I play BMC and I can tell you it can go up past a gigabyte or perhaps more. Hint: "Bookmark All Tabs" will bookmark a set of tabs. But if it's causing slowdowns, you have two solutions: lower Chrome's RAM usage or buy more RAM for your computer.
