Then I realised that FlashUtil9f was remaining in my directory - it will not go away -it was not showing up in "add remove programs" in the Control Panel, and when This is driving me crazy. so how can i resolve the problem? I eventually sorted it in ie 8 by going to tools > Manage Add-ons > add on types toolbars and extensions and enabling shockwave flash object. have a peek here
